About this deal

For two years, Sheriff Bill Delaney and his deputies conduct a fruitless investigation, until Isabella’s ghost leads a young woman named Kate Russell to her secret grave. The murder mysteries are pretty intriguing, and I think throughout the book, no fewer than 5 deaths are investigated. The story is about a young woman with a past who sees a ghost of a child who disappeared several years ago. Isadora’s classmates are happy to leave Ava on her own since she clearly doesn’t like them, but Isadora figures out that there’s something more going on beneath Ava’s unfriendly surface.

Fun fact: when Harriet was at university in 2010, she created a picture book for her final project all about Victoria Stitch. You may use these files to make items for personal use or to sell, but you may not resell or distribute the designs. Laura Benedict is the Edgar- and ITW Thriller Award- nominated author of eight novels of suspense, including The Stranger Inside (Publishers Weekly starred review). But when Isadora’s attempts at magic go awry, she accidentally causes baby sister Honeyblossom to grow to giant proportions!Fun fact: this is the first time we meet the mermaid Emerald, who has gone on to have her own spin-off series! There were several plots twisting and weaving together yet all having to deal with the one major murder in the book. Kate Russell has found in sleepy Carystown a refuge from the horrors of her past: those she fears can’t reach her here, and with the handsome Caleb she at last dares to feel safe. I was drawn to this book when I saw the spooky book trailer last year and I have to say it did not disappoint and many a night after I'd put the book down and shut out the light, I kept the covers pulled up tight under my chin. Graduating from her successful short stories (including a recent winner in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine), Benedict debuts here as a novelist with a compelling and intricate book about a young girl's disappearance and its rippling aftermath on a small central Kentucky town.

What really intrigued me more than any other part of the story was when we saw flashbacks of Kate's former life. In all situations we will abide by The Consumer Guarantees Act and The Fair Trading Act, but at the end of the day getting a book to right place with the right person is the aim of this game.A volcanic eruption is quite another, for, as the journalist who does a framing voice-over narration for Brooks’ latest puts it, when Mount Rainier popped its cork, “it was the psychological aspect, the hyperbole-fueled hysteria that had ended up killing the most people. Brooks is a pro at building suspense even if it plays out in some rather spectacularly yucky episodes, one involving a short spear that takes its name from “the sucking sound of pulling it out of the dead man’s heart and lungs. I love its characters, each, to quote Donnie and Marie, a little bit country and a little bit rock‘n’roll, by which turn of phrase I mean to highlight their crosswire natures. This book was one of the few books that I have really disliked and cannot think of one person I would recommend it to.

Because we are primarily dealing with second-hand products of varying conditions, The Bookworms Team does its very best to describe the condition of its products as accurately as possible. I am reminded of Greg Iles and the Kellerman duo, but ISABELLA MOON has a rising gusto that puts it far ahead of those in that pack. Two years ago, in idyllic Carystown, Kentucky, nine-year-old Isabella Moon disappeared on her way home from school. As for Kate herself, Isabella isn't the only ghost haunting her; a ghost from her past threatens to steal her peaceful existence in her new home as well. The Australian Olympic Committee is committed to honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society and sport. And as she is drawn further into the investigation, some unsettling truths emerge; the charming façade of Carystown starts to crumble – the small town will be forever changed by the disappearance of Isabella Moon, a community undone by murder, secrets, and lies.
