About this deal

I have to say, I was reluctant to see this in the cinema as I am not really a fan of Cars but I ended up really loving it, I don't know why it appealed to me so much more, the 3D was amazing in some of the flying scenes but it was the story and the characters which just got my attention and that of my two boys who are 9 and 11, my 11 year old in particular is very picky about films now and he too said he was surprised how much he liked it. As responsible for Pixar's earliest feature triumphs as anyone, Lasseter has evolved into something of a figurehead lately, whose most prominent expression of personal creativity has been the increasingly questionable Cars universe. Disney gives theatrical release to so few films that don't fit into the canons of Pixar, Studio Ghibli, or their own feature animation department that I find each interesting on some level. Those grosses resemble the ones of DreamWorks' Antz, The Emperor's New Groove, and Open Season, films whose success was somewhat offset by their high costs.

He demystifies Common, York, Middle and Cabinet Pitch planes, and shares his experience on how to commission (fettle) new planes, improve performance, understand components and how to achieve consistent and accurate results. Its supplemental package is much too direct-to-video for a film that earned a theatrical release, but complaints end there. A Justplanes DVD is sure to make a great gift for the aviation enthusiast in your life, whether you’re adding to or simply starting off their collection of Just Planes videos. In 'Planes: Fire and Rescue' (2014), when world-famous air racer Dusty gets told his engine is damaged and that he may never race again, he refuses to let go and launches head first into the world of aerial firefighting. This spinoff of the beloved Cars films follows Dusty the crop duster, who dreams of flying in a race around the world. LFE output, meanwhile, embraces every engine chug and roar, propeller drone, and dive-bomb attack, making the most of the adventure's every racing sequence. Where Cars would plug in covers from the likes of Rascal Flatts and Sheryl Crow, Planes prominently features original numbers by no-name artists. The rear speakers are quite active as well, with an endless assortment of directional and ambient effects. Howard's screenplay relies heavily on familiar cliché after familiar cliché and, sorry to say, the voice cast isn't all that special.

Racers zoom seamlessly from one channel to the next, the soundfield is suitably enveloping, and hardfought losses and narrow victories take full advantage of every asset at their disposal. Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) spends most of his days flying low, but his eyes are always turned up toward the clouds. And it'll take everything Dusty's got, along with a little help from his friends: best friend Chug (Brad Garrett), mechanic Dottie (Teri Hatcher), reluctant mentor Skipper Riley (Stacey Keach), forklift Sparky (Danny Mann), Super Hornet duo Bravo and Echo ( Top Gun alumni Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards), and others who rally behind the crop-dusting upstart.Cook replaced Jon Cryer, who curiously bowed out late last year but ends up with an "additional story material" credit.

With the help of US Navy veteran Skipper (Stacy Keach), Dusty trains for the upcoming around-the-world competition and learns to overcome his fear. For instance, Alvin and the Chipmunks contributors Chris Classic and Alana D provide their answer to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" in a cringeworthy rap accompanying a New York City fly-over (complete with a vehicular Statue of Liberty). In 'Planes' (2013) crop dusting plane Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) hopes to become a competitor in high-flying races but is afraid of heights.
