About this deal

but now the park was full of scared people who believed they might be eaten by cannibal torturers, and so felt they couldn't trust each other and needed to be armed. Be forewarned, though, that this is a really dark story, and part of the realism comes from the various interviewees describing things in very graphic detail. I hated when the kids continuously said that they can't survive because they don't have a smartphone or Facebook or Instagram. Utterly horrifying and impossible to put down—for a dozen reasons, but most of all, for how plausible the whole thing feels.

So, read this book for the killyness and bloody fun, but then get on Google and check out the Florida crime memes. Author Mike Bockoven has written this in such a realistic way with gritty details that it truly reads like a compelling real-life documentary. Since the 1970s, FanatasticLand has been a place where “Fun is Guaranteed”, where employees are chosen not just for their qualifications but their go-getter attitude. Skyhorse Publishing, as well as our Arcade, Yucca, and Good Books imprints, are proud to publish a broad range of books for readers interested in fiction'novels, novellas, political and medical thrillers, comedy, satire, historical fiction, romance, erotic and love stories, mystery, classic literature, folklore and mythology, literary classics including Shakespeare, Dumas, Wilde, Cather, and much more. This is, ultimately, horror, but it's the 'violence ordinary people are capable of in desperate circumstances' type of horror, not the ghosts/vampires/demons kind.

Sanity Slippage: Played out as a slow burn where aside from the Pirates, the tribes more or less got along. Management's decision to leave mostly young adults there with no power or cellphones was not a wise decision. A large number of those who died was because of infections from wounds inflicted on each other and themselves. finally got around to reading this one and now i double my advice to those of you in theme parks - get OUT!

FANTASTICLAND was an unholy amount of fun, in that "I'm going to hell for enjoying this" sort of way. One journalist seeks to shed light on the truth behind the rumors and stories in the wake of the disaster and what led a group of mostly college-age students to such brutal and violent actions. There are heroes and villains; assholes and sweeties; and wimps and fighters, but none of those roles were necessarily determined by gender.I firmly believe now this book would've been more effective had the author not exaggerated some things. There’s just a small skeleton crew made up of employee volunteers there to keep the park standing, and they have plenty of food and clean water to survive on. The big crisis in this book is the MOAH - Mother Of All Hurricanes - which smacks into the eastern coast of Florida with unprecedented force.
