About this deal

That sense of urgency - and my experiences as a new mother - all fed into my first novel, the internationally bestselling, The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy. While a lot of romances skirt around the fact that the female lead might be high-maintenance, I love how this book puts it front and center. Her characters are likeable, larger than life with the flaws and quirks recognisable from real life and the circumstances they find themselves in are all too easily imagined. I was amazed: at how much it took Michael to finally see that Nell did love him and not her ex or pete. I've been sitting with my thoughts on It Happened One Summer for a few days now because I loved it so much, I wasn't in the mood to explain why. Fun fact - I found this stepback at a little free library in the middle of my sister’s bachelorette party last year.

He's nothing but a sexist wannabe alpha male far too obsessed with his masculine image right out of a 2000s super problematic romcom movie script - which is funnily enough the exact same problem I had with the love interest of the first Tessa Bailey book I ever read. Surface level wasn’t enough for her any longer and I loved that she came to that realisation in her own way.

The author of Hook, Line and Sinker delivers another irresistible maritime-inflected romcom as a Hollywood It Girl is forced to relocate to a Washington beach town - where she experiences sparks fly with a surly fisherman. Because the “pride hardening his chest” is described as “masculine”, as are the “thick ropes” of his back muscles; he smells of “salt water and unapologetic maleness” (which is… what, exactly? I gave this a go thanks to booktok, and I’m super glad I did- it’s now one of my favourite rom coms. When too much champagne and an out-of-control rooftop party lands Piper in the slammer, her stepfather decides enough is enough.

However: The author did not dwell so much on Nell's ew found happiness, it was only like three paragraphs where you know that she loves Michael and is going to get him back-I felt as though she cheated Nell out of a happy ending. I really liked the way that the book made me feel like I was hanging out in Cornwall, smelling the salty air. When her celebration started to exceed expectations and test the tolerance level of her stepfather, he decided to send Piper and her sister, Hannah, to a small Pacific Northwest beach town to run their late father’s dive bar.there aren't enough circles in hell for the amount of sins I would let this man commit upon my fleshy vessel😩😩🤚 my legs are open as usual. Piper needs to be taught a lesson any 28 year old woman should have known long prior: aspirations and responsibility.

Tessa Bailey is back with a Schitt's Creek-inspired rom-com about a Hollywood "It Girl" who's cut off from her wealthy family and exiled to a small Pacific Northwest beach town. A book that is fun and easy to read but has a serious side that gets to the heart of the matter making it a very enjoyable and authentic read. la protagonista, piper, es típica chica millonaria que no ha tenido que trabajar nunca en su vida, mientras que nuestro interés amoroso, brendon, es todo lo contrario, un macho alfa que se ha esforzado por lo que tiene. If a refund is payable to you we will process the refund as soon as possible, and, in any case within fourteen (14) days. The "It Happened One Summer Series" by Tessa Bailey is a delightful and heartwarming collection of two contemporary romance novels, "It Happened One Summer" and "Hook, Line, and Sinker.

The story is very heartfelt and entertaining, I cried and laughed at how diverting this book has been. No doubt about it, this was a delightful experience from beginning to end, with enough sizzle to leave a permanent sear on my heart. Nor is she terribly close to her family - brother Ethan and sister Heather (who is engaged to Nell's ex boyfriend). Tessa disarms you with a laugh, heats things up past boiling, and then puts a squeeze inside your heart.
